Around the year 2005 the light of all statues located at the main arteries of Lisbon were refurbished. The main objective was to improve the energy efficiency by repalcing obsolet luminaires and to light those which wre in complete darkness. The new projects improved the visibility of these landmarks, and resulted in savings of around 40.000 W.
